Rejs szkoleniowy dla młodzieży międzynarodowej.
This is the site for the SAIL - Sustainability Applied in International Learning 2009 - course. A part of the course is a cruise on board the Polish Sail Training Ship STS Pogoria. The course is organized as an international summer course at Uppsala University by the Baltic University Programme Secretariat in Uppsala, Sweden.
The course is funded by the EU Erasmus Intensive Programme.
This year's cruise will start 25th August in Delfzijl, the Netherlands and end 11th September in Lisbon, Portugal.
DelfSail 2009
In Delfzijl we will start our cruise with the DelfSail 2009 where an impressive fleet of Tall Ships, square riggers, traditional sailing vessels, yachts and steamships from all over the world approaches the port of Delfzijl.
Pogoria Guidelines
When you get on board "Pogoria" for the first time, especially if you had no sailing experience before, the inevitable confrontation of your imagination with reality of life on board will occur. Usually reality differs much from what you have imagined, sometimes disappointing, but by the end of the cruise a vast majority of participants are very much satisfied with the experience they have had. And very often even those, who just after the cruise said to themselves “never again”, are coming back. In order to help your imagination in creating the picture of what you are heading for closer to the truth we have developed the Pogoria Guidelines (pdf-file).

A second Teachers Meeting will take place in Warsaw, Poland between 4 - 5 June 2009.
